Description

Perennial herb. Stems are erect, woody at the base, with white latex, cylindrical, green to dark red, pubescent at least when young. Leaves are opposite, petiolate, 2.5-9.0 cm long, usually elliptical to obovate, pubescent. Flowers axillary, either singly or paired on very short pedicels. Sepals , narrow, pubescent. Corolla with a long narrow tube and lobes, tubes greenish, lobes are 5, pink to white or pinkish purple. Fruits are follicles. Seeds are numerous, small, black. ,
