Description

Annual herb. Stem Prostrate, up to 50 cm long, many-branched from a taproot, twigs cylindrical, glabrous.  Leaves in unequal pairs, ovate to wide ovate, sparsely pilose, especially on veins, lower side glaucous, the apex rounded to acute, shortly apiculate, the base rounded, the margins wavy. Inflorescence terminal, subcapitate clusters, axillary racemes. Flowers are nearly sessile, bracts and bracteoles lanceolate, corolla funnel-shaped, viole.  Fruits are sessile anthocarp, green, glandular pubescent, sticky, 5-ribbed.Seeds minute, albuminous with curved embryo.
