Description

 Perennial, erect, slightly woody shrub. Stems are rounded, densely covered in whitish hairs.  Leaves, particularly their undersides, are densely covered in whitish woolly hairs. Flowers are whitish, borne in elongated terminal clusters. Separate male and female flowers are borne on separate plants. Capsules are single- seeded. Seeds are shiny black or dark brown.
